Kattabolt
A webcomic by areyoshi
Twelve year old Alex is participating in a special program for "young ambassadors" that takes her to the neighboring country of Thandinas; a rural, mountainy land, freed not so long ago from wartime occupation. Having reached the end of the train route, Alex must continue on foot to the home of the reclusive Lord Kerri, the country's matriarch and Alex's host for the duration of her ambassadorship. How can Alex navigate a world of beasts, dangerous secrets, and missing magics while carrying the burden of her own spark of power?
Who is Kattabolt for?
Kattabolt is suitable for readers of many ages, but some discretion is advised. There is occasional swearing, some fantasy violence, and plot-related discussions about deeper themes such as (but not limited to) war, loss, and grief. The comic contains characters of varying sexualities and gender identities. There is no sexual content. If you're a parent or guardian, use your best judgment. If your kid enjoys the sometimes complicated worlds of series like Naruto, FullMetal Alchemist, or Avatar: The Last Airbender, then Kattabolt is probably fine for them.
Praise for Kattabolt:
"The pacing, writing, and art are just SO polished and fun!! I've never had a reading experience quite like Kattabolt, where I feel like I'm watching a tv show while reading because of how well apricot leads you through the page!!"
-Kody Okamoto
(Cartoonist, KEEPING TIME)"areyoshi's KATTABOLT is, quite possibly, the greatest achievement in the history of hominids. That may sound like hyperbole, and for all I know, it is. But either way, it's a phenomenal comic, and I can't wait for each new installment to drop."
